Ziz Knight is a current fellow with the Governor’s Initiative AmeriCorps program, CivicSpark, and serves as Project Coordinator for The Climate Democracy Initiative. Before joining CDI, Ziz co-founded and worked as the Outreach Coordinator for DarkSky LA County, addressing the impacts of light pollution on climate change and human health in Los Angeles. Originally from Iowa, Ziz moved to California and earned a degree in Psychology and Anthropology from California State University, Northridge. During her time at CSUN, she was a Research Associate at the NASA-sponsored ARCS Center, contributing to two research projects with NASA JPL focused on modeling trust in heterogeneous human-machine teaming and analyzing team communication dynamics.
